Lazy way of letting the Fed's determine everything for them, so they don't have to do anything. My opinion. I don't want the Feds dictating it, seen way too many 'bad' things in the schools already due to a socialistic view, etc. in school books, etc.
And it does tie into "money" .... the HS out there got a $25,000 award from the Fed's for having x-% of students scoring higher than the standard in Core.
The Feds can recommend, but I don't they should push an agenda. I also think we should eliminate the entire Dept of Education on the Fedl level and save some money.
