Sounds like the Deputy was shot with a shotgun. I pray he recovers. tk

Saw somewhere that he was having trouble seeing out of one eye. So, might not be fatal, but could result in at least partial blindness. Suppose that's better than some possibilities, but still not good.

I know I don't thoroughly understand the danger, but I know they have a difficult job. As someone close to LEO once told me, everyone a LEO encounters is having a bad day. I've always treated them respectfully, and never had a bad encounter. (Thankfully, not that many, either!)

I have had my bad days at the hands of LEO but I kind of brought them on myself. Young and dumb. tk

Yep ... the Sheriff's officer and the Shooter, are both in the hospital at this point in serious condition.
Started out as a traffic violation stop.

Still like to know the "rest of the story" , on this one. Heard the address on the woman in the car (45XX N Arkansas Str. ) and when they went and picked her up, and arrested her.
