Guess who is Mr Wolf's cousin is ... Republican candidate running against Sen Roberts in the Primary and supported by the Tea Party is .......
( I am NOT joking) ....
a "cousin" (on mother's side) ........ of President Obama's.
I think my jaw hit the floor when they talked to him on Fox News and that was said........ I know you can't pick your cousins, but I sure wouldn't advertise it either.

He also says his cousin has no clue about earning his way through life.

He can say a lot ... will he stand by it afterwards ? It sure caught my attention. Not saying he is Obama-like, just that he's a "cousin".

Politicians do not see any relationship between what they say while campaigning and after they are in office. The adage of "say anything as long as the people vote for you" applies.
My take on political life is; if someone wants the job then they should be disqualified from ever running from office. Millionaires do not place their finances in blind trusts so that they can enter public office because they are great people that want to steer the country in a direction that assures continued growth for the country as a whole, they do it because they can make more money. Look at the above board pay of a senator and tell me that they gave up control of their millions for that.

I really believe Wolf in what he says about healthcare and. Gov running it. He is what I would call a TEA party member. Time will tell.

Ted Cruz has stood by what he said while campaigning, so it can happen. I wouldn't be proud of being Obama's cousin, but I can see why Dr. Wolf announces it. The connection will get him more media attention, and hopefully then, more donations. Also, if he didn't announce the connection himself, someone else would figure it out, and then make a big deal about him concealing it. I had a brother (deceased now) whom I was embarrassed to admit was my relation. We sure can't pick our relatives, so I don't hold that against Dr. Wolf.

He seems a stand up candidate to me. Not a closet Democrat from my study of this man. Roberts is too eager to fish both sides of the pond.
He has been there too long and knows all too well how DC works. We need to rid ourselves of those folks on both sides of the aisle.

I met Dr. Wolf at the KS GOP Convention. He is promising to serve only two terms, then go back to private life. He's a radiologist, and said he will keep practicing medicine (for charity, not pay) in KS, while he's in office. That way he will be able to return to medicine full-time after the 12 years are up. I like the fact that he will continue to rub elbows with non-political Kansans, instead of being always surrounded by politicians, lobbyists and reporters. I found out that Senator Roberts has been in Washington, D.C. for even longer than I realized. He's been in office (first House, then Senate) since 1980, and before that, he worked as a staffer for Kathleen Sebelius's father-in-law, U.S. Rep. Keith Sebelius. Dr. Wolf said many people had told him he should run, but he didn't seriously consider it until Jim DeMint pulled him aside and told him he ought to run for the Senate. He also said that due to his opposition to Obama, he's been through an IRS audit (came out clean) and I forget what all else. I've decided that if we can get Dr. Wolf in the U.S. Senate, it will be a good thing. Long odds, but not impossible.

Maybe not long odds at all. More people each day get tired of DC. Takes putting different people there every election in every office to change it for the better. Dr. Wolf will get my vote.
