What happened in the DC navy yard. www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57603385/the-washington-navy-yard-shooting-as-it-happened/No way he shot that many people from there with a shotgun that he concealed into the navy yard. He probably did strip weapons from those who came after him. He had to have a pistol concealed to get into the place and if he shot from the upper floor into the cafeteria he did it with something other than a shotgun or it had slugs in it and then he couldn't have wounded that many people. The media trial of this begins and ends with gun banning as the solution. So frustrating to folks that know you need to deal with the sick people who commit these kind of crimes. Politicians just seek more control every day. Including our Republican representatives in DC. They are set for life upon our backs.

Considering all the gun bans already in place (Washington D.C. and a military post) what good would anymore bans do? Nothing. I do think that perhaps his military security clearance procedure could have turned up a potential problem, if it was done more thoroughly, but that's the only area where I can see tightening up regulations/laws could help. It isn't right that we don't allow legal concealed carry on military bases.
