We received 2 and 1/2 inches of rain here this morning.
How did everyone else do for some rain?

Haven't looked at the rain gauge today. I emptied it yesterday, it was overflowing. But looking at all the water on the way to/from Wichita today, I know we've gotten a lot. TrailerDwarf said that on Saturday, Winfield Lake was just about to overflow. Compared to what it looked like last summer, that's a big change!
The mosquitoes are thick here lately. We don't have anything other than puddles and the sewage lagoon for them to breed in. Usually, the ground drains fairly quickly once the sun comes out, but when it rains, and rains, and rains... I've been having to fight the little buggers when I get out of the car and go in the house. I don't move as quick as I used to, and having a cane in the hand isn't the best way to kill one, either. However, I have managed to kill a few. If I was going to be outside working, I'd put on bug repellent. Just don't want to smell like OFF for church or a restaurant, though.

It hasn't stopped. We had a gusher the other day (Friday ?? or Thurs?? ), it dumped rain so hard and fast that it flooded all of the streets rather quickly because it couldn't drain off quick enough. Unusual for where my house is in town (higher side of town).
Ironic, the 'red' cells keep splitting and go on the one side and the other side, but not 'thru' town. So, seeing some interesting stuff from here, but we're still getting the rain and wind. I hope the "red" cells keep missing us. I haven't been to a ball game that it hasn't rained on yet either.

We've had 6+ inches since Monday a week ago. My feed buckets are generally my rain gauges...but, I've been turning them over lately 'cause I got tired of dumping them out. Rained all day here on Sunday, hard at time and a light mist at other times.

We really need to mow, but keep getting rain, so it hasn't dried out enough to try. Good thing we live in the country, so I don't have to worry about the city fining me.
