Well, now the jury has it ..... any bets ? I couldn't predict this jury, but I know how I would vote based upon the court hearings. I did think it was interesting that one juror did have a CC license and had let it expire, but her husband still has his license. Then there is the one woman who seemed to react positively to the prosecutor's arguments.
I'm betting on a hung jury at this point. Although, I think he should get an innocent verdict on all charges.

NOW ... the NAACP wants the DOJ (Holder) .. ( and this hasn't been coordinated , because in civil rights cases someone must file a complaint to the Govt to take action...... they are asking they file a violation of civil rights case.
Based on ?
He & his wife were a foster home for various black kids, mentored and taught younger black kids to read, is grandfather or great grandfather was black, and I saw a couple interviews with 3 of this friends last year (2 of them were black) saying quite adamantly that George doesn't have a racist or prejudice "bone in his body". Yet, they would have to base it on ... that he was prejudiced and intended from the start to kill him.
Uh, isn't that what the trial was just about. It's lame. However, he should be immune from civil actions now, and his attorney stated HE WILL BE FOUND TO BE IMMUNE, and they can file an action for the state (per their law) to pay all loss of income, attorney fees, etc. when found innocent due to self-defense.
So, not quite over and behind him yet. Hopefully though, it will be.... and the worse is over. If he hadn't made it past this trial, he wouldn't have had to worry about the rest.

Holder said the "H" word in his speach: "honesty". Brings another "H" word to mind: "hypocrite". And how about: "hater". I wish I could find an ounce of good in this man, so I'm going to "hypothesize" and say they (EH and BO) are trying to prevent a crisis and race riots....Pfffffff!
They are going to drag this out until the next election to and remind people of their stance to gain party votes. What they will accomplish is dragging a young man's(used lightly) punk reputation out in the open. The question is if the family really wants the dirt to be brought to center stage. Or do they believe they can squelch all that and make the people see the story they want since they control the media and the investigating entity? Some of the dirt will be scrubbed from existence; conveniently "lost".
It's tragic that a young man is dead, but, I don't suffer fools. Neither do I suffer a family that should have done a better job of keeping their son on the straight and narrow.

amosmoses ; agree with what you are saying. IN an HLN show, the female friend of Trayvon's who was on the phone with him, was stating that Trayvon was scared because they were talking about (on the phone at that time) that Zimmerman could be "gay and might rape him". She did state this on the stand when she testified as well. LMAO. So now, Trayvon was also a homo-phobic ? ? What's the gay community say about that one ? I personally, cannot believe the number of black folks who keep opening their mouths ... and showing themselves to be rather strong racists. Stat they addressed on news tonight ; from 1987 to now, 91% of all black youth who were killed in that period, were killed by other black people. So, does Holder really want to have an "HONEST" discussion As one person stated when giving their opinion on the news and being interviewed ..... then, let's start with what's going on in Chicago and the murders going on there ..... A lot of ignorance out there being shown on national TV. LOL.

Quote : "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."
Booker T. Washington, said in 1911. Quoted by Allen West on Fox News tonight, and I verified the quote.

There is also a class of white people that hate any person of color. The love if keeping an old hate alive is how Democrats expect to rule. The nation is polarized by racial tension now much like is was in 1860.

Zimmer now has to get past the socialists vote now. The american jury of news will hang him for killing a black boy. Too bad it is that way. Also gives everyone who carries a gun food for thought. Zimmerman and Martin could have both walked away early in the ecounter.

I don't subscribe to the belief that racism has the country divided. In fact, the only ones divided over it are the ones afraid of losing their jobs. I look at today's youth and I see the majority of them looking past race. YMMV. Are there still bigots and haters, sure there are. Two of them hold the highest positions in this country. This will never change. As long as they don't violate the rights of others, they are entitled to their opinions.
Al Sharpton has been looking for a crusade since Bernard Goetz was acquitted of murder and not charged with civil rights violations. If he was not charge, then certainly Zimmerman is free from blame. Goetz profiled the four "hoods"(before profiling was a PC no, no) he shot and admitted to planning his COF moments before it occurred. There is no proof this occurred in Zimmerman's case. Oh, guess who was the AG...Giuliani. Goetz was sued for $43M and has "not" paid a dime.

I was taught by my parents the prejudice is the dumbest thing taught to a child. My grandparents all were prejudice to a point. Both my father and mother taught me and my 3 siblings there is only one race. The human race. I do profile others behavior.

I don't think there is some over-whelming racist attitude across America, unless it's within the black community. I think the O-man is instigating a lot of the division in every way and every arena and area that he can. Women-men, black vs everyone else, Gun owners - antigun owners, rich - poor, citizens vs illegal aliens, etc. As long as everyone is worried about or paying attention to everything else, then maybe they won't pay attention to what he's doing.
Divide and conquer, and before they realize it, he's changed the rules, the laws and the country, etc.
I believe O-man & Holder are just "using " this case ... to fuel and fan the flames. IT keeps everyone's attention off of the NSA collecting data, Holder's perjury, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, Wire-tapping & collecting emails of reporters, Fast & Furious, the economy, jobs, Obamacare, Keystone pipeline, the new EPA regs & BS .......... and the list goes on and on.
