Explained the law that will take effect July 1 rather well. In spite of city and county attempts to stop cch in their buildings the only thing they can do to stop it is put in metal detectors.
The fools don't understand there is no penalty for the licensed to carry any longer in Kansas.
You can ask someone you don't like their tattoos to leave your business and it is the same as asking someone who is carrying a gun.
I LOL at all the foolish city and county officials that think that State law doesn't apply to them.

Only one I've heard whining and complaining, has been Wichita. Wichita thinks it should be the Chicago of Kansas, and everything should be the way they want it to be. They (Wichita City Council) is a bunch of extreme Libs on an island in the middle of a conservative state, and they think they are "special". They want to dictate to the rest of the state, what they should do. They're idiots... who will have to be dragged and screaming all the way to comply with the state laws. They think if they scream enough the public will rally behind them... and cause the Legislature to act... well, they were right.... the Legislature finally saw that as long as their was a Wichita mentality, the only way to get uniform guns laws was pre-emption at the state level.
I'm glad to see it, it's about time. I don't think they get that they are likely to be held now "more liable" for even any employees being harmed if they keep signs up, etc. and take an exemption. They are saying they will be responsible for anyone's safety in a public building and open themselves up to lawsuits now.
Carl Brewer is a great example... he's really throwing a 'fit' and saying that they should ignore the laws all together. He's an butt. Wonder if he will direct WPD to violate the laws and arrest anyway on the knife issue. Someone will cash in if they do.
I'm wondering if our 'town' will get it. We have the same problem ... a police chief who's an ex-Sedg Cty Deputy who wasn't well regarded, who immediately posted every building there was in town that the city owned. He tends to "make up the laws" as he goes along and thinks initimidation will 'work' on people. In talking with some of the officers, they know the laws and will not enforce some of the things the City or Chief wants them to ... because it's not illegal.

Shawnee county has applied for the extension. Like it will do them any good. There is no penalty for carrying past their signs even if given an exemption.
I don't believe the Shawnee county sheriff will arrest anyone for walking past a sign.
If so the person they arrest can get out of it easy enough.
Most of those places think their sign works. LOL

Well, they have never gotten that the signs , if they ever worked, only worked on law-abiding citizens who were NO threat to anyone anyway.
