Good stuff, very funny. "does .40 make you bi?"
My opinion, I don't believe in "shot placement" or "stopping power". Too many people have taken multiple hits from OO buck, slugs and rifle rounds for me to have confidence in a puny pistol round, whether it's 9mm, .40 or .45 acp.
One person may get hit with a .25 in the belly and be DRT, another may take a head shot with .45 and survive. Too many factors come into play to say this caliber or that bullet is best.
The only guaranteed "one shot stop" due to "shot placement" is the Medulla Oblongata. Good luck pulling that shot off with bullets flying by your head.

The only almost guaranteed one shot stop is someone who thinks they can stop a bad guy with one shot from any handgun. They seem to know how deadly a handgun is. They will fall once shot with one. Unless it a .22 then they just get mad. LOL
I enjoyed his making fun of everyone equally. I too like that dos carrying a .40 make me bi. LOL

I like the bit about how the shiny rock that that David usd to kill Goliath must have been a .45 round that fell out of David's pocket....or the bit about how God came down and crafted the .45 round himself...lol....all Colin Mcnoir's videos are pretty good...

Yes Colin is a funny and very smart person. When it comes to walking the line between being a gun owner and a decent human being.

I've liked all his videos.
Personally, I like the .357 round. LOL. So, was there some revolver discrimination here ? But, then there's the .44 mag round... but it's the same argument as a .40 vs .45 one.

I enjoyed both those video.
My EDC is a .45. Alternate is a .38.
Have to admit a lot of my decision for my choices have lots to do with attitude.
I love 1911's just cause I think they are super cool. My Taurus snubby is cause of what a friend of mine once told me why he carries a J-frame. If 5 rounds are not enough, than he is in over his head. I liked that POV.
Far as 9mm, it is simple prejudice in that I associate them with pus-sy gang bangers, though once I came close to buying a G-19, and still thinking that over.

What happens when one of the gangsters choose to pick on you and your 8 rounds? If I am going to fight I want to be on equal terms of firepower as my enemy. To me the 9mm makes the most sense. I can hide a G19 loaded with 16 rounds and a 33 round spare mag. One shot into a gun fight you may been in over your head. I never heard of anyone who has been in one wish they had less ammo. A .45 1911 is quite easy to be accurate with. Not too sure about a .45 Glock never shot one. If I were going to carry a 1911 which I did for awhile when I had mine. I had 4 extra mags on me. Also 16 9mm holes covers a larger area than 7 .45 does. LOL Did anyone figure out if carrying a .40 made one Bi?

I can get 19 rounds with my 9mm XDM..... I was discussing the .40 cal round at work today...I do believe as a round it doesent know what it wants to be....I would rather shoot a 9mm or a .45....I don't like any .40s I've ever tried.....

I have shot a couple glock. 40. They still hold less ammo than the 9mm. Think I shoot a forty just as well as I can my nine

Glad someone else said that, that's how I feel about it as well. Also, I do like .357's, and I couldn't see any advantage of a .40 cal over a .357 to me what-so-ever. I've never owned a .40 and don't want to. My first choices typically were .45 and .357, and then added the 9mm.

My opinion, I don't think there is enough difference is the popular self defense calibers in terms of what they do to bodies to debate.
My choice is 9mm. Not because I think it will sledge hammer the BG's to ground, but for other reasons. Whether or not I will need 15+ rounds, I feel better they are there. 9mm recoils less, recoil isn't an issue when I'm on the square range in my favorite stance, using two hands and no one is trying to kill me. Recoil is an issue when I'm in a dark parking lot, moving quickly, using one hand, and someone is trying to kill me. Cost of ammo is an another issue, I can shoot more for less than with any of the other popular self defense calibers.

The only drawback I see with 9mm is finding ammo in this day and age of horders and scalpers. I haven't shot for over a month because I do not want to burn up ammo I can't replace.

Ricco....I agree with you 100% on the reasons you like the 9mm.....if you can't afford to practice with what you carry then what's the point...
