Well, how are you fairing with the storm.
Here, lots of rain, pea size hail, lots of booms and lightning.... that sound like a war was going on. Two tornadoes spotted in the area and one just south of us, but it went NE and avoided us that they said was on the ground.
At one point, another 'cell' I was watching.... then went across and they were having rotation over Udall.
I remember the one that hit Udall on May 25th, 1955 ....... and remember the house that had 2 walls still standing, with shelves on the walls..... will porcelain and crystal figurines still on them.. unscathed. 76 died ... from ages 6 mo's - 86 yrs old. Many, the whole family died. A rude awakening to me about what tornadoes could do.

Used to chase tornadoes when I was younger. Have been in 3, ran from 3 others, and have watched about 3 others. Never want to be in one again, and came out lucky for me in all of those cases, but others didn't come out as well.
One, was while camping at Marion lake in the middle of the night..... and that's a story unto itself... we were amazed we survived that one. I heard screaming and went to check what it was ... no power obviously and no lights..... so took the car and shined the lights into the lake where I heard the screams...... saw people swimming and numerous trailers, etc. in the lake. I left the car running and lights on, and sent my wife (at the time) to get others.... and started digging people out of the water. We even swam in and checked the trailers & campers that no one was trapped in them. They had NO idea where the shore was (too dark ... no lights or anything to go by) until I showed up with the car.... which gave them a point of reference.
Just prior to that, we were checking on an older couple who had a camping trailer that was demolished ... ... and they couldn't be found. Crawled into the wreckage, and found they were in the "one" area of the camper that although all crumped up... was still in one piece and they were trapped inside, but alive. Amazing they survived that ride .... and we got them out. Got a lot of hugs from them. HINT: always have good leather work gloves in your vehicle, flashlight, and crowbar.
Tecceles : it's hitting around Eureka now. Hope the farm house doesn't get any damage there.
