the month of April has been generally a "bad" month for disasters, etc. 

On the day of April 15th :

*   Titanic sunk --- Apr 15th, 1912
*   Abraham Lincoln died  (shot night of the 14th & died 15th in the a.m.). (1865)
*   Boston Marathon Bombing. ...  April 15th, 2013
*   Tinanmen Square Protests begin,  Beijing China... 1989.

*    Martin Luther King shot .... April 6th, 1968.
*    Hitler was born Apr 20th and died Apr 30th.  (bad & good there).
*    Siege at Waco Texas ended Apr 19th, 1993.
*    Oklahoma City bombing --- Apr 19th, 1995 
*    Virginia Tech shooting -- Apr 16th, 2007  
*    Columbine Shooting .... Apr 2oth, 1999.  
*    Moby Prince disaster (Italy ) - ferry hit oil tanker, 140 died, spilled lots of oil in Italy. (1991)
*    San Francisco Earthquake of 1906,  on Apr 6th.
