That is why you must shoot as soon as you see the person. You have a gun they figure you're going to use it. They will come at you. ' Hope she recovers.

I think people believe they are going to "have time" to think about it, analyze it, and then make a decision on whether to shoot or not, pull a gun or not, etc. Well... I guess they do... they only have 1/2 -1 second to do all of that some times. It's not the minutes that many seem to think they are going to have.

This truly concerns me as women are always the most preyed upon in any sociaty in any time since mankind has been herr by men. Women are smart so why won't they teach their daughters how brutal a man can be and how to defend themselves?

I don't know how reliable this rumor is, but according to one poster on Kansas.com, this woman has mental issues. Sounds like they think there maybe a possibility that it was self-inflicted to get attention. Really sad.

RRAMOM ; tried to fix the link, didn't work ..... so here's the story at that link.
Police: Woman allegedly shot by robbers wasn't random
(WICHITA, Kan.)— Wichita police say people living near Pawnee and Maize should not be on heightened alert after a shooting this week.
A woman living in the11000 block of W. Hadden told police she was shot in the shoulder by robbers. She says they broke into her home and when she got her gun, they took it and shot her.
Police say they are confident this was an isolated incident that involved that particular house. They say they don't believe random people are breaking into homes in the area.
