www.kake.com/home/headlines/Security-Guard-Accidentally-Shoots-Butler-Student-202115061.htmlTuesday, April 9, 2013 A Butler Community College student is recovering after he was accidentally shot by an apartment security guard. It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Villas at Butler Apartments, located at 700 S. Haverhill Road in El Dorado. According to El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren, a security guard was sitting at a desk handling his gun when it discharged. The bullet went through a nearby wall and struck a young man. He suffered minor injuries, but has since been treated and released from an area hospital. The incident is under investigation. No names have been released.
Why was he "handling his gun"? Bored?

Sounds like it. Not to wise and not to safe about it either. Reminds me of when the Sheriff's deputy claimed someone shot him after he had stopped them, and eventually he confessed he was bored and out on the road playing cowboy quick draw and shot himself.
