I can tell you companies that do that in Wichita, or treat them like a sub-contractor, will pay one person ... who then pays everyone else. The workers themselves are the one's who told me. They get hosed in the process, and the Business owner can say he paid them whatever he wants to say he paid them that way, because it's all done in cash.
Hint: check out some of the roofing companies and the contractors building houses, as well as some of the companies who have cleaning and housekeeping contracts with some of the major companies around.

It has long been happening all over this country. The people from Mexico come here to earn money to send home. They work for way below standard wage and are grateful for it.
I grew up around a lot of those illegal people. Everyone of them was good people that would break their back working for little pay.
The drug trade has changed all of that. As has our own government in how they deal with it.
I speak spanish fairly well thanks to those illegals as I was a child.
I also know right from wrong and see it as more of a challenge to deal with than I did as a kid.
I know one thing I don't have the answers
