IT sucks. I had a guy who was wanted for attempted murder who was afraid I knew too much about him,and went to my house and was trying to break in.... got a call from my wife who was pregnant with our first. Ironically, we weren't far away and rushed over there. He didn't stop trying to break in when she yelled at him and she got a very good look at him, then when he couldn't get in .. he went and broke into the car (who konws why on that). Anyway... she described him and I reached in my pocket and showed her a picture and asked her, "is this him"... she said absolutely was.. We were after him at the time. He plead out to lesser charges and later when he was out. And I had left there, but he showed up at my old office and then went to the detention center asking them if I was there, or this or that person was there, or this one probation officer... and they kept telling him "no". So, he then pulled out a .45 and tried to shoot everyone there. So, he was wanted for attempted murder again. His whole family was a bunch of murderers, his father , uncle, 2 cousins, and it went beyond just them, were in prison for life for murder. My address was supposed to have been "keep extremely private" . After the first incident... .... I was in the process of buying a different house, and we would give no one the new address. HR was upset that I wouldn't even let them have it and tried to demand it ... and even my bosses told them NO... period. I was never in the phone book for 20 + years. Unfortunately, some don't do that and should. NOW .... why wasn't he armed And was he really dumb enough to "open the door" without checking, etc was there. I think there is something fishy on this one. I think he knew his attacker .... and felt safe.
