Waiting for my license to come in the mail. It took 54 days and it seemed like a year. Now it seems so far away it happened but I recall the anxious checking of the mail box as if it was yesterday. It appears to be taking longer now and I can't imagine anything about that other than having ones feet head over a fire feeling.

I guess it probably depends if one is used to carrying (like a new resident to KS who had one in another state) or if they haven't gotten in the habit of carrying. If they aren't used to carrying, it probably isn't quite as difficult, although it would be still like waiting for Christmas. Then too, it would depend on how much danger they feel like they are in. If they've got an angry ex or something, that would definitely make the wait more difficult.

I carried a long time before I got a license to carry. I learned how to hide a gun as a teenager. Still the wait to do legally seemed to take forever.

took almost 6 months. Became effective July 1 and got the class right after that, and application in by mid-July, but had to wait until Jan 1 ... for us to receive them.

It took 74 days for me to get mine from the day I got finger printed. Seemed like a long time. Now it takes nearly 90 from what I've been reading.
