I've seen another forum have a separate section for hot button topics that tend to get people riled. Such topics like issues that libertarians and social conservatives disagree with, the Zimmerman/Martin shooting, etc. This section cannot be viewed by guests, and members must enter a special password to view/post. Personal attacks, foul language, etc. are still not allowed, but at least the arguing is out-of-sight of the visitors.
Mods would move any threads started anywhere else into that section, if it covered one of those topics. At least those who hate to read bickering would be shielded, and the image presented to the general public would be better.

This too is something I may or may not be able to do on this free version. I don't think even an upgrade will allow buy sell and trade of firearms so I am considering changing hosts and using the domain name I am paying for. I will check and see what I can do to make it happen though as I think this is an excellent suggestion.
